At the end of our holiday in Guatemala and Costa Rica, we flew to San Francisco for two days. A client, Yvonne, showed us around and we had a wonderful day exploring the city inside and outside in the hills. We were very lucky that our hotel upgraded our double room to a suite on the top floor so we had a separate lounge, bedroom and two bathrooms. We felt very spoilt in all ways. I fell in love with San Francisco and would love to return sometime. Thank you so much to Yvonne for her incredible kindness.

It was indeed an awesome day! So very glad I got a chance to meet you at last. It was a highlight of my summer. I shall post a picture when I complete my Alcatraz triathlon and you will able to picture the area where I swam, biked and ran. Lucky you for the Penthouse upgrade! Well derserved as you give clients the royal treatment even getting back to them on holiday!

Aw, how sweet of you. It was certainly a highlight of our trip too. I would love to hear and see how you did in the triathlon.

It is indeed a lovely city, glad that you enjoyed your time there Suzanne. When my husband and I first moved from England in 68 we considered going there but decided on the warmer city of San Diego but I still love to visit San Fran,

It was a little chilly there when the wind blew even though it was summer, but we were lucky to get blue skies most of the time.

The pictures are stunning! I will be visiting San Francisco soon and am concerned about finding fodmap friendly restaurants. Where did you eat?
Suzanne Perazzini says
We ate at one of the restaurants down in Fisherman’s Wharf on the day we toured with Yvonne. I don’t expect to find Fodmap friendly places to eat – I make them Fodmap friendly by being clear about what I can’t eat. I had a child’s plate of various seafood with some chips that day. The next day we stopped at a French restaurant for lunch and again I was clear about what I needed. I always read the menus outside and see what could work for me, so that process takes a while before I decide on a place but then it’s all about talking to the staff.

Yvonne, I’m jealous!
I’m so glad it worked out for you to show Suzanne the sights in SF.
When I was in SF a couple of years ago we stayed in a hotel in Union Square. It’s such
a fun city.
Suzanne, we visited the city hall, too and saw lots of weddings. Isn’t that cool? Your
photos are beautiful! ttfn
Suzanne Perazzini says
We had a wonderful day, Lisa. Yvonne was so generous with her time. We also stayed in Union Square at the Chancellor Hotel. I had such fun photographing and videoing all the weddings. I will post a video of San Francisco when I get things organised.
