I have a wonderful post up my sleeve about making lasagna right here in Italy. I have over 300 photos I took while I watched it being made and have to narrow them down to the most relevant for the post. Meanwhile, here are the villas I promised you. These were all found along the Adriatic Coast in Italy between Rimini and Cesenatico. We stopped the car so many times to shoot them that I was starting to feel seasick.

Your images are so gorgeous. I would love to live in a home that was so pretty. The Italians not only have the best food, they have great architecture and good weather! xx
I said just yesterday to Dario while we wandered around Florence that the Italians have beautiful architecture, beautiful shops and beautiful people. But they have had a much longer history than NZ and Australia to develop all those things – not sure how they developed the beautiful people though.

Ah, these are gorgeous! What a beautiful region!
It is beautiful here but all regions in Italy are beautiful. There is something worth seeing around every corner.

Thank you so much for doing the ‘legwork’ [in lieu of a more suitable term] for us. Am bookmarking this post to slowly review and enjoy later. Elegance, comfort, endless style . . . so peaceful somehow to look at. the Adriatic side of Italy being an unknown entity to me. Delightful!!
Legwork is the perfect term – my feet can attest to that. This area is flooded by Germans in summer with a second category of English holidaymakers but it is not as well known in general as Tuscany for example.

Italy is the best country for holliday, Not for living.
I want to go away from Italy.
You a have a nice blog.
Have a good times in Italy.
Bye from Italy
Thanks, Alberto. I lived here in Italy for nine years and agree that it is a great place for holidays but can be difficult to live in. But all countries have their pros and cons. Thanks for dropping in and commenting.

Wow! It looks like you have been having a fab time in Italy. Can’t wait to see your lasagna post:)
The lasagna post might be after I get home because we leave tomorrow.

Beautiful! These are so pretty. But I’ll bet the lasagna is even prettier! 😉 Can’t wait to see those pics, and read the post.
The lasagna was not so pretty but it sure was tasty. The making was pretty though.

Nice shots.
Now I’ll have summer holiday, pasta with seafood and good wine on my mind the rest of the day.
Thank you, Stefan. That’s not such a bad thing to have on your mind!
Italian villas are indeed beautiful. Am myself now building a country home in Bangladesh based (mostly copied) on elements from pictures of Italian villas. Many of your pictures also have these elements. Excellent compilation!
